We are highly experienced in design and analysis of mechanical systems and components including extensive work with advanced composites. Our staff includes registered professional engineers in the States of Nevada and California.

Our results are based on sound engineering judgment, experience, and quality analyses and testing. We emphasize the systems approach to problem solving. We also apply probabilistic and statistical approaches when warranted to assess the influences of uncertainties. Our experience and computer tools make our services highly cost effective.

The specific disciplines for which we have special expertise are:

  • Composites and metals design including well developed skills for optimal structural, thermal, and lightweight design of complex structures, and in depth understanding of aerospace design and qualification requirements
  • Finite element technology, including structural, thermal, heat transfer, electromagnetic, acoustic and fluid energy domains, static and dynamic.  We use ANSYS at no extra cost to clients.

  • Structural stress and strain analysis and testing (including mechanical, thermal, and electromagnetic loading).  Testing with strain gages.

  • Structural dynamics analysis and testing, including transient and steady state vibration, modal, shock, and operational.  Testing with accelerometers, proximity probes, load cells, and strain gages.

  • System dynamics, optimization, and sensitivity analysis, including multiple energy domains if necessary (for instance, systems with electro-magnetic circuits and structural elements).

  • Specialized research in mechanics and engineering, including structural dynamics, rotating machinery dynamics, rolling element bearings, internal combustion engines, and new product research.

  • Probabilistic and statistical methods in engineering, including reliability analysis, sensitivity analysis, experiment design, and response surface methodology.

  • Mechanism analysis and design synthesis.

  • Materials characterization testing, particularly composites.

  • Commercial product design, development, and testing, including design for producibility with extensive experience designing structures tailored for dynamic behavior.

  • Engineering analysis methods, algorithm, and computer code development.

  • Data acquisition, instrumentation, and digital signal processing.

  • System and structural dynamics computer code development.
  • Failure analysis and troubleshooting of mechanical systems.
